The Red Sea Prizm protein skimmer comes in two different levels. One is the regular model and the other is the deluxe model. Both of these can either work as a hang-on back skimmer or you can use it in combination with your sump.

 It has a flow regulator on it that is located on the inlet pipe. This is so you will be able to adjust the skimmers performance. They are rated for aquariums up to 100 gallons. It has an eighteen blade turbo jet air injector. They have extened contact for air flow with the triple pass. The slim design is only 2.4″ deep which means it is very slim line. Both new and experienced reefers will and do love the easy to use operations.

The deluxe model come with a chemical or biological filtration media basket. Also it has an outflow pipe connector that does not come with the regular model.  But just like all other skimmers make sure you get the one that is best for you and your tank. This one has been reported not to be the quietest on the market.
